If you have several domains with different extensions and you need all of them to open exactly the same site, you can have the site under one of them and redirect the rest. There are different ways to forward one Internet domain name to another, among them the so-called domain parking. When your web hosting package deal allows it, though, it shall be better if you host all the domains and set up a URL redirect, not a domain redirect. The primary difference between the two is that while a domain is hosted, you may still have content for it, set up subdomains, e mail addresses, etc., while with a parked domain you cannot do any of those things. As an illustration, if you are building localized sites under various country-code domain names, you'll be able to work on them, but at the same time, visitors will be redirected to the main Internet site.
URL Redirector in Hosting
The Hepsia CP, which comes with our Linux hosting, provides a URL redirection tool that will enable you to redirect any domain address or subdomain hosted inside your account to any URL - in your account or a third-party one. Creating a new redirection is incredibly uncomplicated - you must pick a domain/subdomain and then type the URL it needs to be redirected to. You could also forward a specific subfolder only. For instance, if you have your-domain.com and your-domain.com/es, you may forward just the latter. The tool has advanced features for more tech-savvy users too, including the feature to choose the redirection type - 301 (permanent redirection) or 302 (temporary redirection), the redirection method - direct or match, and so on. If you no longer need a redirection, you could deactivate it with a mouse click from the same section of the CP.
